To Pluck or not to Pluck. That is the question....

Sooooo.... Plucking. I think that this is a HUGE question. I've met people who don't pluck, and people who do. Is there a right or wrong decision??? You're probably sitting behind your computer screen yelling "WOMAN, JUST TELL ME WHETHER OR NOT I SHOULD PLUCK!!" Yes, I'm sorry. Getting to that. Here we go.

Plucking: OK. First off, IT HURTS!! This is one of the main reasons that I DON"T pluck.. (That and the fact that whenever I try to pull out a hair, I sneeze. HARD. No idea why.. ) BUT. If you absolutely feel like you must pluck, there is a solution! The solution: Baby dental numbing gel. A lot of you may already know this trick, but all you do is put some of that amazing stuff on your eyebrows, give it about a minute to "activate" and then COMMENCE PLUCKING!! OK, but I'm not done yet. Baby dental numbing gel may get rid of the pain, but what about the lifelong effect on your eyebrows? Remember when you where 13 or 14 and started caring about your eyebrows, so you tried plucking and when your mom noticed she gave you this talk: "Honey! You don't need to pluck! You look fine, and when you're my age, you're going to wish that you hadn't plucked!" Blah blah blah. Or so you thought. Turns out, mom actually knew what she was talking about!!! (SHOCKER!!!!! HOW MANY TIMES HAS THAT HAPPENED????) When you pluck, you're pulling out hairs from the root, right? SO, in simple terms, at some point, your eyebrow hair will feel underappreciated and say "You know what!?!? She doesn't even care about us anymore. WE'RE LEAVING!" And then, You got what you wanted: Less brow hair! Except they're almost completely gone and now you're having to draw them on... BUT, I'M NOT SAYING NOT TO PLUCK!! All I'm saying is when you do pluck, be gentle and pull in the direction that the hair grows. ALSO, do not pluck too much!! Only pluck when you need to. The less, the better.

Now, if you're like me and only pluck once every few centuries to get rid of that pesky unibrow that just might be surfacing, I would HIGHLY recommend a brow comb/brush combo. (Just google it and multiple different options for purchase should come up) Seriously though. THEY'RE AMAZING.

Well, that's the end of my lecture.

Explore and enjoy!!
